It’s great to see English teams doing so well again after a couple of years where we seemed to be dropping back a little.
Just a shame we don’t see more English players in our teams. I want to see the best players recruited to keep us at the top level. But I would like to see more opportunity for British talent to be developed too.
Dare I say, Brexit might allow us to put in some rules that stop teams from so easily bringing in lesser talent just because it’s cheaper than investing in homegrown players.
