Definitely a penalty on Keita v Leicester.
Swings and roundabouts.
Teams usually end up where they deserve to end up

Re: Ve have ways of falling over.
VAR would have given that.
Re: Ve have ways of falling over.
You say that but Peter Walton, BT's "expert" ex-ref said that Martin Atkinson was right not to give it as he was looking at the slight trip and completely missed the bit where he stood on his foot. So if he had been the VAR expert it was still no pen.
Re: Ve have ways of falling over.
It rather depends what definition they use for VAR intervention when it comes in. If it’s to correct “clear” errors, it has to be given. If they stick with “clear and obvious” errors there may be a lot of situations where decisions like that one are not overruled.
Re: Ve have ways of falling over.
Yes but my point was that the so called expert didn't even think it was a pen!

I have only seen what you quoted. That says he thought the ref was right not to give it as he didn’t see the contact with his foot, not that it wasn't a pen.

One of my heroes from back then. Apparently he has just agreed to participate in a TV documentary being made on the “Team of the 80’s” that I’m very much looking forward to.
