Hi Paul,

The recent new sewage figures released by the Environment Agency show Southern Water discharged sewage into our rivers and seas a staggering 29,494 times in 2023. The water company’s sewage discharges lasted 317,285 hours!

At Lewes, the Ham Lane pumping station released sewage into the Ouse 243 times last year, lasting a total of 4830.64 hours. The Lewes figures represent the second highest number of spills in the entire Southern Water area.

Sewage was released into Seaford Bay at Newhaven main CSO 138 times, for 1040.91 hours.

Once again you feel the need to mention me in one of your posts. Are you obsessed?

Just didn't want a repeat of your last digs.
To which I " DID " apologies, but you didn't acknowledge by the way, hence the comment.
Instead of sitting waiting for something to find fault with ,
post a thread to help the form continue .

Are you all still sure that privatisation means better managed.
It's a lot worse now than before and still big dividends.
As asked before how many are proven to be better now for the public and not just the shareholders.

The government will buy it, spend an absolute fortune on getting it right, then sell it for a pittance.
Probably to one of their mates.

The theory behind it is sound, but unfortunately the politicians are in charge and inevitably balls it up through greed. Checks and balances should be enforced before limited dividends are available.
