Yes for a few weeks then back to usual consumption... then more recently less and less.

Re: Alcohol
I do when in Spain, because I'm in holiday mode.
When its really hot, there's nothing better than a pint of San Miguel in a glass straight out of the freezer, covered in ice,
The boss likes Tinto de Verano.
In the UK I rarely drink beer, I have the odd pint of Guinness.
we mainly drink Rioja, or Chateauneuf-du-pape,

Re: Alcohol
I drink too much rum.
Re: Alcohol
Ditto. In the UK I am fairly restrained but in Spain I am on holiday. The lower prices are just a bonus.Vino wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2024 11:42 pm I do when in Spain, because I'm in holiday mode.

Re: Alcohol
What age did you start drinking Alcohol ?
I was still at school. We went to a pub in Brighton owned by a really old lady, she never questioned our age.
We didn't even know the names of the beers, only Brown and Mild.
So that's what we asked for.

pint of mild was 1/10p
Pint of bitter was 2 shillings.
I could go out for a night playing darts with a ten bob note in my pocket and come home tiddly.

Re: Alcohol
Are you any good at darts crummy,
I'm pretty good, but my brother is better,
he was also the local 6" nail throwing champion.
He could beat me throwing nails.
Re: Alcohol
I played darts for about 4 years in the local. After 4 years I was just as bad as when I started. When I threw everyone ducked..
